BC HORSE ANGELS

Creating alternatives to slaughter for BC horses.

Dan and Dixie were unhandled, young Percheron crosses who were run through a cattle sale and purchased by Belinda.

Mariann Reading came to see them the next day and immediately knew she wanted to adopt them. She says:

“I loved them from the first moment i saw them. Although they were very dirty and nervous of people, they both had kind eyes.

Since bringing them north to the Yukon, and with a quiet, slow, and gentle approach, they have blossomed into two fine horses.

Dixie is still quite reserved, but responds well to all the love and attention that she receives. Dan is very funny and amuses himself by playing with tarps, and anything we might leave on a fence or in his proximity. Both of these horses have responded to all the love we can give them. WE are so happy to have these two in our family!

A big, heartfelt thank you to Belinda for rescuing them!”

Thank you for your continued support.  Your kindness is transforming the lives of B.C. horses and advancing the effort to end the slaughter of horses in Canada for human consumption.
